Warnings: Murderbot's canon deals with trauma and PTSD, social anxiety (which can be played for humor but still is a Thing), mindfuckery in general, and other serious topics. It also has a potty mouth.
HACKING
So Murderbot is pretty casual about hacking most systems, especially 'dumb' AI. While it's not designed for hacking, it's developed the skill over years of practice and has only refined it further as of late to ensure its safety and the safety of its clients. As such, it's very possible Murderbot may attempt to access things that are player-controlled, and as such, this is an opt-in post to grant permissions and explain what it might find!
Note that in general, permission may be requested anyway, or at least an idea pitched regarding what Murderbot's trying/intending to do; the information here will more or less give me a bit more information up-front so I can get a better idea on where the thread/plot/etc can go. Note that even if permission is not given - eg, outright said 'nah, no hacking' - it may still try, but failing is absolutely on the table no matter what. Especially for intelligent/smarter AI that isn't just a basic system.

CAN MURDERBOT HACK YO STUFF? Attempts are always allowed, success will be dependent. Freddy is a highly sophisticated and self aware AI who has actually faced off against a virus that made attempts to control him.
WHAT KIND OF SYSTEMS ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? As a proprietary robot belonging to a huge corporation that has knowingly covered up deaths of people, as well as outright putting lives at risk... his defenses are probably pretty substantial and may even include a countervirus. That said, he is replaceable so more than likely once the protections and counters are figured out, they could be worked around much easier again in the future.
WHAT CAN MURDERBOT DO WITH THE SYSTEM/HOW MUCH CONTROL COULD IT FEASIBLY GAIN? Maximum would be taking control of Freddy's movements, including the use of his upgrades. Standard access would allow the ability to isolate Freddy from any database or servers he may be connected to, or connecting to them through him. Keeping in mind if he is not linked to a server or database as a trusted party, he only has access to open/unsecured wifi/bluetooth connections. If this is used please discuss beforehand what opt outs I may have for such technology connection, thank you :)
ANYTHING ELSE? Freddy is aware of himself and has fought against the control of a virus, that acted very much like possession, and his AI would do so again against hostile takeover. That said, if there is good reason for Freddy to give over control, he may allow outside control, in the right circumstances.
